STAN Solutions
STAN Solutions is a proven, award winning, and innovative leader in network systems and sensor technologies. Employing only competent, proficient, cross-trained experts who think outside the box and operate with a "MacGyver mentality," has allowed the company to evolve into one of the U.S. Military's major contributing partners throughout Operation Iraqi Freedom.
Radio Frequency Intelligent Device, Inc.
Radio Frequency Intelligent Device, Inc. has developed the first RFID calibration system. With the nature of where RFID systems are being installed, the ambient electromagnetic noise is great. This is above the fact that when installing RFID in a logistical location numerous portals are installed side by side. Protocol and good business practice warrants field contouring prior to installation. Site survey and site assessment is the most critical part of a successful installation. The Portal Reality check will take the guess work out of installation.
Pelican Technologies
Pelican Technologies leverages its extensive network of subject-matter experts into the modular components of hardware-neutral, commercially-viable, custom software solutions to systems integrators quickly and cost-effectively. Their software protects the lives of coal miners in West Virginia, catches criminals in California, manages inventories for fortune 500 companies and enhances Access Control systems at US government facilities.
CreativeFuse Initiative
The CreativeFuse Initiative (CFI) is a service-based, non-profit public charity that facilitates meaningful "creative fusion" between all types of existing businesses, individuals and organizations in the Miami Valley. CFI has decided to share office space at Dayton's RFID Convergence Center because both CFI and DRCC are dedicated to the creative and economic development of the greater Dayton area. CFI offers a wide range of low-cost communication arts and marketing services to DRCC's emerging member companies, including logos, websites, trade show graphics and various types of positioning and sales collateral.
Midwest Sales & Marketing/Analytica USA
Midwest Sales and Marketing was founded in 1997 as an option for manufacturers to access an experienced sales staff quickly and efficiently. Midwest Sales partners strategically with companies that do business with a variety of sectors and industries. This cross-sectional approach has led to increased sales for principals and at this juncture, Midwest Sales and Marketing has grown to a multi-person operation including marketing and engineering staff members to benefit signed principals to the fullest potential. Initially MSM focused on existing customer bases in the Midwest surrounding Ohio. At this juncture, Midwest Sales is able to provide support for its principals in the Northeast, Midwest, and the Southeast. In early 2008, Midwest Sales partnered with RFID middleware developer Analytica. Analytica represents the next generation of RFID Technology. The applicability of the ARIES line of products to benefit all sectors of business are limitless. Their product offerings take existing inventory, security, personnel or asset management systems to the next level with seamless integration and immediate results. In addition, they offer a application that can form a hybrid system with existing barcode technology as well as a multiple location analysis program as collaborated with Google. The benefit of working with the Dayton RFID Convergence Center is that they foster all of these attributes in an effort to educate and recommend sound RFID capabilities to coporation and businesses that will benefit from this technology.
Interactive Control Solutions
“Making all lights green ” Interactive Control Solutions is a new start-up company developing breakthrough energy efficient and environmentally designed technologies for RFID applications in the electrical lighting markets. Its Mission is to offer energy efficient lighting solutions through intelligent controls and integrated systems options including RFID software, systems and devices that will enable control of electrical lighting to be so precise that an individual fixture, device or “virtual device” can be controlled in groups or independently. This will allow corporations and communities alike to significantly minimize energy consumption and improve their operational efficiency.
Comtactics
RFID Asset and Personnel Tracker Improving data accuracy by tracking products through supply chains is a driving force in the RFID space. The use of this technology has grown beyond the retail shops and hospitals into the construction industry.Comtactics has developed solutions for the construction environment that will help project directors better manage workflow and resources. The Comtactics RFID Asset and Personnel Tracking System provides access to the location of assets and personnel on construction sites. The product will put customers at ease knowing their assets are always accounted for and that they will be notified if there are any changes with the status of the assets or personnel. Activity between assets and personnel are recorded and stored in the database for access via the online reporting system. A handheld device using Augmented Reality displays the location of each asset and person while on the construction site.
RFID Vision
RFID Vision is the bridge between optical and mechanical systems and RFID geolocation and identification to create hybrid systems for process automation. Our goal is to help identify, target and develop applications for RFID technology for rapid commercialization where access to real-time data is critical. By augmenting optical systems, such as Optical Motion Tracking and "Machine Vision" with RFID, RFID Vision will allow "smart cameras" to locate and track objects in real-time. Applications in this space would include security, quality control and interactive television. Combined with mechanical systems such as relays and servo-mechanical systems, RFID technology would allow stronger market penetration in the areas of assembly line sorting, advanced robotics and location-based entertainment. RFID Vision's purpose is to accelerate market growth in industries that have yet to exploit the benefits of RFID technology. We partner with existing RFID industry leaders as a catalyst for innovation. RFID Vision began with one simple idea: How to get RFID technology into the hands of consumers in a way that is meaningful and relevant. But rather just imagine this possibility; RFID's mission is to bring the promise of real-time data acquisition and processing through RFID technology to full commercial fruition. This will be done by strengthening revenues from industries that RFID already has demonstrated benefit as well as monetizing new industries and opportunities that hadn't been discovered before.

Co-Operative Engineering Services, Inc. (CESI)
Co-Operative Engineering Services, Inc. (CESI) is a manufacturer of small unmanned aerial vehicles as well as providing payload integration services and flight test services. CESI has developed an electric powered aircraft that spans the gap between very small man-packed tactical vehicles and larger vehicles requiring significant ground support equipment. The new aircraft is named SPEAR and has impressive performance capabilities for an aircraft with a 54 inch wingspan. In its lightest form the aircraft has a total launch weight of 4 lbs. with a 1 hour flight time. In this form the aircraft can carry a high resolution HD quality camera with live monitoring of camera view, while recording 1280×720 30 FPS video on board the aircraft. This is more than adequate quality for most basic surveillance work with very low footprint, as the aircraft is hand launched and recovered in a net. Recently CESI undertook an enhancement program that has resulted in a new, proprietary production method which results in a very light, highly ruggidized successor to the original aircraft. The newest SPEAR has an all up launch weight of 5 lbs and sports a carbon fiber skin for rugged operation in demanding environments. This development has led to CESI being awarded a DARPA sub-contract to produce two SPEARS adapted to high altitude extreme environments for the purpose of exploring thunderstorm activity. These aircraft are capable of ground launching, climbing to 10000 feet and loitering in the storm area for 30 minutes before returning to the launch site. This exciting project will culminate in actual storm data this summer 2011 in New Mexico.
