Creative Technology Accelerator

Tech Town's first completed building, the Creative Technology Accelerator (CTA), is a 42,000-square-foot, high-tech office and research building. The CTA is 100 percent leased, with tenants having moved in during July 2009.

The building was recently awarded the Gold-level LEED certification by the U.S. Green Building Council because of its ecologically-friendly "green" features. These include a geothermal heating system, ample natural lighting, energy-efficient fixtures, and a rooftop garden.

LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) certifications are presented by the USGBC following a rigorous review of a structure's environmental impact. Gold Certification is the second-highest of four levels of LEED status.
