About Us | Dayton Tech Town
Tech Town's existence in Dayton is due to nearly a decade of planning and work by the City of Dayton government and CityWide, Dayton's non-profit economic development and financing arm.
Part of the City of Dayton's strategic plan for economic development is to attract businesses in high-tech industry clusters, including:
- Aerospace Technology
- Sensors & Radio Frequency Identification (RFID)
- Advanced Materials & Manufacturing
- Data Management
Tech Town is an integral part of this plan, serving as Dayton's nexus for the application, commercialization, and convergence of cutting-edge technologies–quickly and efficiently.
In coordination with the City of Dayton, CityWide serves as Tech Town's project manager and has also been instrumental in leveraging $40.8 million in funding for the project through various local, state, and federal sources.
